It has been a long hot summer, but it will be gone soon and time to get busy hunting those pesky rats again. October 4 we will hold a practice for dogs already hunting from 8am – 12pm. Then there will be an Introduction to barn hunt for dogs new to the sport at 1pm – 4pm.
Practice: The practice will be held in the competition barn, with the 32′ x 32′ ring. You will sign up for practice slots of 15 min. at whatever level you wish. Each practice will be $20. You may sign up for as many slots as you wish until we are full. There will be a limit of 16 slots.
At 1pm we will hold an introduction to barn hunt. We will go over the rules and protocols while your dogs stay in the car or crate. Then in the order you arrived, we will take you to the course and test your dog’s aptitude for playing the game. The test will be private. The tuition is $50/per dog.
